One year after the opening of MDWA, with a recommendation from the MICHELIN Guide

The MDWA restaurant in Gdańsk has been recognised in the MICHELIN Guide 2026. This is a significant moment for our team and a testament to our consistent efforts in developing our unique fine dining concept.

On 27 May, we attended the MICHELIN Guide gala. It was a great celebration of Polish gastronomy. An event bringing together the best restaurants, chefs and teams who help shape the contemporary culinary scene in Poland.

MDWA is an intimate restaurant on the banks of the Motława. With just eight tables, a well-honed service rhythm and a tasting menu, it offers a cohesive dining experience. Every dinner has its own flow, flavour and atmosphere.

Dominik Karpik is in charge of the kitchen at MDWA. His menu is based on produce from Pomerania, Kashubia and northern Poland. Local sourcing, precision and a modern take on tradition are key here.

At MDWA, cuisine meets art. The dishes are created with flavour, presentation and emotion in mind. It’s fine dining without the pretension, but with great attention to every detail.

The MICHELIN Guide 2026 distinction is a huge source of motivation for us. It is also an invitation to guests who are looking for an exceptional restaurant in Gdańsk and want to discover Pomeranian cuisine in a new light.

MDWA remains a place for those who appreciate tasting menus, creative cuisine and memorable experiences. Gdańsk is now establishing itself more and more firmly on Poland’s culinary map, and we are delighted to be part of this story.
