MDWA in Gdansk received two hats in the Gault&Millau Poland 2026 guide. This is a huge accolade for us. It is also an important confirmation of the direction in which we have been developing the restaurant since the beginning.
Gault&Millau is one of the most important culinary guides in the world. It recognises restaurants that focus on quality, taste, product, creativity and consistency.
The two caps for MDWA have special significance for us. The restaurant has been operating in Gdańsk since May 2025. Just a few months after opening, it was among the places appreciated by the Gault&Millau guide.
From the beginning, we wanted to create a restaurant where art and culinary form one story. The tasting menu, the service, the wine, the interior and the view of the Motlawa River are all part of the same experience.
Every detail is important in MDWA. Taste must make sense. The form must follow from the idea. The dish has to surprise, but above all it has to be memorable.
This accolade is a credit to the whole team. The kitchen, which works daily on taste and technique. The service team that guides guests through the evening. The sommelier team that builds the pairing for the tasting menu. Every person at MDWA has an impact on how the guest remembers the dinner.
A particular source of pride is also the award of the Niny, the pastry chef in charge of Mercato and MDWA. Her title Pastry Chef of the Year shows how confectionery is an important part of the experience. At MDWA, dessert is not just the end of dinner. It is a full-fledged section of the menu. It has its own rhythm, form, emotion and taste.
We see the two Gault&Millau hats as a joy and a commitment. We want to further develop MDWA as a fine dining restaurant in Gdansk. We want to create authentic cuisine that combines local inspiration, art, precision and emotion.
We thank our guests for their trust. We thank the team for their daily work. This award is a joint success.
Join MDWA for a tasting menu in Gdansk. At the table, you can best see what art, taste and hospitality means to us.
